Zanu (PF) in shambles

BULAWAYO
THE ruling party here is currently in shambles, rocked by internal squabbles over its failure to garner support in the province since the 2000 election victories of the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).
The top leadership of the party is accusing grassroots leaders

for failing to lure supporters, while party members are at each other’s throats over who is to lead the park after the dismissal of the former leadership led by Jabulani Sibanda over the Tsholotsho Declaration and other misconduct behaviour of the former leaders.
Earlier this year national commissar Elliot Manyika walked out of a meeting after a furore erupted.
A fortnight ago the party’s national chairman John Nkomo appointed a committee to deliberate the leadership issue.
“Nxa lilele liza bona selisalele emuva kukho konke. (If you are lazy you will find you self lagging behind in everything,) You must unite and work together as a party to achieve our goal,” said Nkomo. – Silas Nkala
