Mugabe propaganda plan for summit

ZANU (PF) plans a propaganda drive ahead of the Southern Africa Heads of States and Government Summit, to be held in Lusaka, Zambia, where President Robert Mugabe is expected to address a rally
Human Rights Defender Tapera Kapuya says Zambian people should not take Mugab

e’s address seriously, as many Zimbabweans had been reduced to less than human beings,
“We urge all Zambians who sympathise with the Zimbabwean cause not to attend the rally or to go – and send clear a message to him that his failure to run the economy was also impacting on their nation as many Zimbabweans have started flocking into Zambia,” said Kapuya
Zimbabwe will be on top of the agenda at the summit, starting on 10 August and running to the 18th,
Mugabe is well known for his propaganda machinery, as in the months before the previous SADC summit he allegedly paid the New African magazine over US$1,6m (to the IC publications) for producing 77 pages of anti-western and anti-MDC propaganda.
Unconfirmed reports allege Mugabe has put in place billions of Zimbabwean dollars to buy media space in Zambian newspapers
