MDC president Morgan Tsvangirai, has named his party’s proposed future cabinet of 15 members. Party Secretaries with line responsibilities in the party are now clearly separated from those with policy responsibilities. The new secretaries for Integration and for Finance and Economic Affairs are yet to be appointed. The cabinet line up is as follows:
Tendai Biti – Finance and Economics; Mfandaedza Hove – Industry and Commerce; Seiso Moyo – Transport and Communications; Vincent Gwarazimba – Land and Agric; Innocent Gonese – Legal & Parliamentary Affairs; Henry Madzorera – Health; Kerry Kay – Welfare; Getrude Mthombeni – Natural Resources, Environment and Tourism; Fidelis Mhashu – Education; Sam Nkomo – Home Affairs; Gordon Chavunduka – Traditional Leaders; Sekai Holland – Research and Policy; Joel Gabhuza – Mines & Energy; Sessel Zvidzai – Local Government; Tichaona Mudzingwa – Defence; Elphas Mukonoweshuro – International Affairs; Paurina Mpariwa – Labour and Social Security; Giles Mutsekwa – Security and Intelligence; Lucy Matibenga – Women’s Assembly; Eddie Cross – Policy Co-ordinator; Roy Bennett – National Treasurer and South African Office.
