Zimfest to reflect values

LONDON
Thousands of Zimbabweans have pledged to attend Zimfest on September 1, the annual festival in London organised by charity WEZIMBABWE.
Networking websites such as Facebook and Myspace, which host large online communities of Zimbabweans, show that support for the popular festival is

on the increase with many looking forward to meeting up with friends and acquaintances from back home.
Organisers have promised that this year’s festival is going to be bigger and better than ever, with a football tournament and the best music and cultural entertainment from artists in the diaspora. “As Zimfest develops, we want it to reflect deeper Zimbabwean values and interests…goodwill, creativity and a wicked sense of humour!” says Phillip Chikwiramakomo.
The money raised from the festival goes towards the many charitable causes that WEZIMBABWE funds in Zimbabwe.
