The Retail Pharmacist Association last week won a concession from the government to lift the price freeze after it had warned that most pharmacies could be pushed out of business.
The chairman of the association, Douglas Shoniwa, confirmed to ZimOnline yesterday that they had hiked the price of ARVs.
A survey by ZimOnline at the weekend showed that most pharmacies in Harare had hiked the price of most generic AIDS drugs by more than 100 percent. – ZimOnline
