Erasable ink on order “to rig elections”

THE government has ordered erasable ink from Iran, which will be used to rig the elections, a senior official in the registrar-general’s office has said.
The official said the erasable ink would be given to trusted Zanu (PF) supporters across the country so that they would be able to vo

te more than once.
“The main purpose of the erasable ink is to use in perceived MDC strongholds, especially in urban areas,” he said.
He said the ink was purchased from Iran and was being kept at a KGVI and Inkomo army barracks.
Iran is one of the few countries that still have bilateral relations with the embattled Zimbabwean government. Last week. its President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad held talks with Robert Mugabe on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. – Staff Reporter
