“Of course, Zimbabwe is not in a war situation, but the state of affairs here resembles that of a war-torn nation. I regret my coming back home because under the UN mission we were provided with foreign currency, food, cars with fuel and life in general was just fantastic.
“My first step at home was greeted with power blackout, no basic commodities despite having money. Worse still, there is no meat in the country, a situation that makes me quickly remember the countries we were operating from,” said one police officer, who requested anonymity. – CAJ News
