Their “crime” was to go to the offices of the Byo state mouthpiece, The Chronicle, and demand that the newspaper retract a statement it made that Mohammed and Zimba had been hired by the MDC VP Thoku Kupe to beat up people. The Chronicle management called the Police and had the two men arrested.
