Mugabe commandeers Air Zimbabwe

HARARE:
UNDER resourced Air Zimbabwe was commandeered to cancel a Victoria
Falls bound flight and pave way for President Mugabe, who was
traveling to Mozambique earlier in the week.

Passengers from as far as Europe and Asia wishing to visit the mighty

Zambezi River and the Victoria Falls were left stranded at the Harare

International Airport when president Mugabe commandeered the plane to

Maputo on Tuesday.

Immediately after the cancellation of the flight to Victoria Falls,

President Mugabe and his delegation arrived and were seen off to

Maputo, Mozambique on the same plane that was supposed to take the

tourists to Victoria Falls.

“The reason why the President took this plane is because most of the

planes here under Air Zimbabwe are not functional,” said a source.
