The protests by examiners will see the results release being delayed as those who are presiding over the papers are no longer unwilling to go back and resume work.
Over the past six year Zimbabwe’s education system has been deteriorating since taking over from the Cambridge as the country could no longer afford to send their exams to Britain for marking.
This development has left the country previously known for good education in the poor discharge of its educational system.
A number of private education schools have over the past few years started offering Cambridge exams an offer now reserved for the rich were children of government ministers are enjoying.
The markers are supposed to get Z$2, 5 million per day as part of the meal allowance but the examining body had failed to meet the agreed.
The opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) accuses the government for ruining the education system. Meanwhile the ruling party ZANU PF endorsed President Robert Mugabe as its candidate for the coming 2008 polls.
Education analysts argue that just like any other government department the education system would eventually collapse if no immediate measures are implemented.
