Country’s domestic debt balloons

HARARE:
THE country's domestic debt has increased to $12,5 trillion as at October 31 from $8,1 trillion in September of the same year.

Presenting the 2008 National budget on Thursday, the Minister of Finance, Samuel Mumbengegwi, said continued reliance on domestic financial borrowings was the reason behind the continued increase of the debt.
