The commitment by SEDCO to continue availing funds to business people is a welcome move, given the huge numbers of small business enterprises mushrooming in the Matebeleland region.
SEDCO’s Business Analyst, Kenan Phiri, said in a effort to reach out to rural business people, “the finance house has established agents in all the districts so as to bridge the long distances that people were forced to travel to submit their application papers”.
Phiri encouraged people in Matebeleland region to submit project proposals so that they can access the funds.
He further challenged the Bulawayo business community to approach his office so that they can also get funding as a fulfillment of the government’s vision of economic empowerment to the local people.
SEDCO is one of the finance houses in the country whose mandate is to capitalize the small businesses.
