Belfast, Northen Ireland
The Zimbabwe Solidarity Campaign will hold a vigil outside City Hall, Belfast on Saturday February 2nd from 1pm to 3pm. The vigils are now held monthly, on the first Saturday of every month.
Zimbabwe’s elections have been set for the 29th of March and already Mugabe has won (the situation is not conducive to free and fair elections) … arrests and intimidation of the opposition still continue. Zimbabwe Solidarity Campaign is asking Britain and the EU to put pressure on Mugabe to create a level playing field. We are also asking Britain and the EU to send independent election observers and to continue the pressure for democratic change in Zimbabwe.
