Ndlovu Scores

DURBAN, (South Africa)---FORMER Zimbabwe Warriors' captain and Mamelodi Sundowns sharp shooting striker, Peter Ndlovu, scored a scorcher on Monday night when the Brazilians beat AmaZulu Thanda Royal 2-1 in a evenly balanced match played at Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

The victory helped the South African premiership defending champions to move two positions from 10th to eightto. AmaZulu scored first through Dumisani Ngwenya before Lungisani Ndlela equalised for the Pretoria outfit.

With only three minutes before regulation time, the Zimbabwe international packed a terrific shot that whizzled past a hapless AmaZulu goalminder to grab the winning goal.

As Zimbabwe prepares for the 2010 World Cup, veteran players such as Ndlovu, Nyandoro, Benjani Mwariwaru and Tinashe Nengomasha are leaving on stone unturned in their quest for the Warriors inclusion
