Now beat it!

As Beit Bridge police sealed the exits at Dulibadzimu Stadium to stop hundreds of children who had been bussed to president Robert Mugabe’s birthday celebrations-cum-election rally to stop them leaving during his address, activists floated this hot air balloon. The bored and hungry children had been at the stadium under a scorching sun since  7am in the morning and Mugabe only arrived after 2pm. The children, from schools around the town, watched as ministers and other hangers gorged themselves on birthday cake.
