ZTA aims at 2010

THE Zimbabwe Tourism Authority is targeting a 30% market share of the tourists expected to visit the region for the 2010 soccer World Cup in South Africa.

ZTA chief executive Karikoga Kaseke told stakeholders at a workshop held in Harare last week that the target was driven by rigorous marketing strategies.

“We are still at preliminary stages with the arrangements but out of the countries we have approached so far, it was promising,” he said, adding that this would sway supporters to come closer to their teams.
