Posted by Sibali | March 29, 2008, 12:44 pm Ok so its 11:02 pm in ZImbabwe right now and there has been no word on any sort of results. On the news at eight they saud that they were crossing over to the command centre, and nothing has happened so far. Which websites are going to be giving an up to date account of the votes as they are announced…something is just not right
Posted by Carl Joshua Ncube | March 29, 2008, 2:04 pm how long does it really take to count votes for a president in this world, come on guys please let us know what is going on. We count money faster than this.

Posted by Phidza Chiyangwa | March 29, 2008, 2:42 pm My young man on the ground texteme to say – bad news filtering thru. The whole thing has been cooked in an African Dish, looks like the povo cannot stomach what is coming- they are getting modern. Bob hazvizi, but when he imposes himself its something else. Taking the whole country and its people for granted.
However, my wife reminded me yesterday that God is on the throne and its His will that will carry the day. It is well comrades and freinds, brothers and sisters.
We may as well start thanking God for taking us to this next level. Come on join me now.

Posted by Laudzer | March 30, 2008, 1:12 am Why is ZEC not giving us results? Is it difficulty for them to count or compile data? May they not raise people’s suspicions of a stolen vote.Delays in giving results only result in us getting unofficial results and in the end it may lead to chaos when the official results come because they wont tally.
Posted by yans one man gang | March 30, 2008, 2:03 am All border posts and airports in Zimbabwe need to be watched.
If the ZEC actually tells the truth, there may be many Zanu PF cadres fleeing shortly with their loot.
Some reports suggest that some have already set up external bases and loot stashes.
Mbeki and Namibia have allegedly promised sanctuary to selected members of the hierarchy and senior members of the security forces.
We will see if some of the militants carry out their earlier promises of a coup.

Posted by muvhitori | March 30, 2008, 6:08 pm I lived in Rhodesia twice. First when it was part of the old Federation, and then under Ian Smith. We now live in Canada.
I was a proud Rhodesian (non-racist!) and it was encourating to see the new Zimbabwe flourish. However, the melt-down in the last 10 years is most distressing.
It appears as if the MDC have trounced the opposition parties-and yet speculation is rife that the ZEC will nevertheless declare Mugabe the winner.
Proud Zimbabweans have suffered too much. If the ZEC does what is expected we can only hope that the neighbouring countries do to Zimbabwe what South Africa did to Rhodesia. It worked then-it will work now!
Good luck!

Posted by bhidza | March 31, 2008, 4:53 am Surly the people of Zimbabwe can see Mr Mugabe has been robbing them blind, look at his sallery and what he has done ,his palace in Borrowdale and every thing else he has, could not have been purchased with his salery only he had to steel the rest.?
Posted by Anthony Bowler | March 31, 2008, 4:57 am You know politics friends, For how long should we be waiting for the results? Otherwise enafe cant work effectively because part of my mind is there looking forward to hearing from Electoral Commission-Zimbabwe.
