Six years after being shot, MDC (Tsvangirai) activist Darlington Kadengu says he is hoping that a change of ruling party will bring him justice.

Kadengu was shot and almost died during the Insiza constituency by-elections. He was campaigning with Siyabonga Ncube, who was then contesting the seat held by Zanu (PF)’s Andrew Langa, now Deputy Environment and Tourism Minister.

The bullet lodged close to his heart and doctors were unable to remove it.

Speaking to The Zimbabwean on Saturday at White City in Bulawayo, where his party was holding a rally, Kadengu said it pained him that the culprit was still walking free and that no charges had been brought against him. He said he prayed for Tsvangirai to become president after the March 29 election so that his Zanu (PF) attacker would face the full wrath of the law.
