Tsvangirayi wins 73.86% in New Zealand Mock Election

MDC President Morgan Tsvangirayi today won 73.86% of the votes cast in a
mock election in New Zealand. Organised by Save Zimbabwe Campaign New
Zealand, the mock election was part of the Diaspora protest vote meant to
send a message to the incoming government that Zimbabweans in the
Diaspora need to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

Dr. Simba Makoni came a distant second with 25.49% of the vote. Langton

Taungana obtained 0.65% votes while Robert Mugabe did not get a single

vote.

Save Zimbabwe Campaign New Zealand hopes that the peaceful atmosphere

that prevailed in the New Zealand election will prevail in the elections

taking place in Zimbabwe.
