But until official results are released, people can only dare to hope that the stranglehold of the Mugabe regime has been broken.
The ACDP is grateful for the constraint on all sides up to this point and we call on all parties in Zimbabwe to remain rational as they wait for and receive official announcements.
The ACDP further calls on the electoral commission and ZANU_PF to release the results without further delay so as not to create a build up of tension. We can’t understand why the ZEC is not announcing the results which have already been posted outside ward and constituency offices.
The SADC observer mission lead by Angola has called for all parties to accept the results… this is vague and unhelpful in the face of fears that ZANU_PF is presently conspiring to hatch a plan to distort results which appear to clearly favour the opposition.
The people have said they turned out en mass at polling stations to ensure Zimbabwe goes forward with a leader and not a dictator.
