Not so!The truth is Matonga never actually worked there. In 1999 he came to the BBC on attachment, ostensibly for two weeks, but disappeared after a few days.Subsequently it was Matonga himself who erroneously put on his CV that he’d worked for the British Broadcasting Corporation.
Looking at his track record since then it has to be said that in this instance the BBC’s loss was certainly not Zimbabwe’s gain.
