Odinga meets Tsvangirai


JOHANNESBURG - THE Kenyan government has confirmed it has contacted Zimbabwe's Morgan Tsavarangai and asked him to participate in the re-run poll in the country, but criticized other African nations for being silent on the matter.


Prime Minister Raila Odinga confirmed that he met the opposition leader in South Africa two days ago and advised him to go for the re-run. “Yes I met Tvangirai and told him it would be wise for the movement to go for the re-run, but why is the rest of Africa quiet? Let everyone speak up, Zimbabwe is a disgrace to our democrasy as a continent, we cannot afford to be quiet,” said Raila Odinga.

The Prime minister was addressing journalists at the Jomo Kenyatta International airport shortly after arriving frtom South Africa where he was recuperrating from an eye surgery on his left eye.
