She died last Friday at Mpilo Central Hospital where she had been admitted with severe pneumonia.
She was buried at West Park Cemetery in Bulawayo.
Sibanda was born in 1964 in Gwatemba, Filabusi. She was educated there, before moving to Bulawayo where she met her husband, Onesimus Sibanda.
