We regard the statements made by Malema as uncalled for, and as an insult to the youths of Zimbabwe. The ANCYL President should be reminded that it is not only him who is prepared to defend and die for his leaders but also the youths of Zimbabwe; calling the leader of the MDC a puppet when he is regarded as a Father of Zimbabwe’ by Zimbabwean youths who are tired of the Mugabe’s regime is tantamount to destroying whatever chances of future solidarity they might be with Zimbabwean youths.
ZANU P-F is a regime that aggrandises on its people’s suffering and as such has lost its support from the majority of Zimbabweans, it however wants to cling onto power by labelling the MDC President Mr. Morgan Tsvangirai a puppet of the West’ which we the people of Zimbabwe know is cheap ZANU P-F propaganda, thus having rejected the party on the 29th of March 2008. It seems Malema fall prey to this propaganda and now wants everyone to believe this to be true.
Malema should be reminded that every political party including the MDC has a right to have its own international allies, be it from the West or any other direction. Had it not been for the assistance of some foreign countries/allies Zimbabwe would not have been liberated, we depended on them to fund the 1980 liberation struggle – so we urge the ANCYL President to seriously consider revising his statement on the MDC Leader.
We demand an apology.
