In the past, couples where the wife/husband has had refugee status (or British citizenship) and the other partner has been refused asylum, the refused partner has been told to go back to Zimbabwe and apply for entry clearance from there.
The Chikwamba ruling may mean that it is now possible to sort out the problem of entry clearance from within the UK.Â
