The Burial of Abigail Chiroto

The burial of Mrs Chiroto, wife of Harare Mayor Emmanuel Chiroto, who was murdered by a death squad on 16 June will take place today Wednesday 25 June at Warren Hills Cemetery at 14:00 hrs.

Mourners were dispersed from Hatcliffe by state agents and are currently gathered at a secret location. The Mayor continues to stay in hiding and will not be able to attend the burial service.

Please attend this sorrowful occasion. We appeal to large numbers to attend to provide protection against the anticipated disruption of the service.
