We are also putting in a high court application for the release of our 4 vehicles.
There are concerns about the safety of Pearson Mbalekwa. Before he was elected MP (MDC Mutambara/Zvishavane) he was a ZANU MP and also a member of CIO.  Officer in charge Law and order Lupane, Inspector Chakoma said that there is a directive out that he must not be released and if he is let out on bail he was to be picked up immediately and dealt with. It is for this reason that Jabulani Ndlovu (Hwange senator and lawyer) did not apply for bail on Tuesday when they were in court but got them into the Hwange jail system instead of falling under law and order.  Jabulani feels that he is safer under the prison service, it’s quite complicated but from the way I understand it is that if they get bail after the court order on Thursday and they were still under Law and Order there will be people waiting outside the courts waiting to pick up the MP and deal with him. Under the prison service we can arrange a much safer way to get him out to a safe place as he will not be walking free out of court in broad daylight. The MP has not eaten since yesterday morning. The prison officers will not allow food through to him and he will not eat what the prison is trying to give him, he has after all played the game in his life before he crossed over and knows what is good for him. We are at the moment trying to get a fax from his doctor stating that he needs a special diet. (Which he does, he does not eat sudza!) (I don’t think parts of this paragraph should be made too public)
Below I have some pictures of some very dangerous people. The 11 from Gomoza that were released after being held in Lupane from the 24th June until the 7th July. Their crime was inciting violence while trying to protect their families and homes from an attack by ZANU militia. You can still see the injury on 60 year Rebecca Ncube face 14 days later. She was slashed across the face by a sjambok. Methuseli Sibanda received a bad blow to the head which is also only healing 14 days later. There were a number of injuries and all of them were denied any form of medical treatment while they were incarcerated. Maurice Moyo was born in 1918 and his friend John Ncube was born in 1931. Sophie Ncube is 74 and the youngest of the group was a girl called Samukeliso Ncube; she had only just turned 18. Very dangerous people!  There is a full list is at the bottom of this report. I am putting together a spread sheet of all arrests and should have it done by the week-end.
