“Tuku’s” concert in Joburg

Zimbabwe international music legend Oliver Mutukudzi returns to South Africa to join up with mbira maestro, Chiwoniso Maraire at the Bassline for a one time show to remember. Only 100 tickets are left and they are being sold on a first come first serve basis. The show is dubbed ‘The VIP Access’ music concert is on 20 July 2008…

The show will be the first time Oliver Mutukudzi and Chiwoniso Maraire share the stage. Chiwoniso will be fresh from a European tour and Oliver Mtukudzi just have completed a homage to Zimbabwe’s yearly winter Jazz festival.

The show is part of the Zim Cafe concerts lined up throughout the year. Zim Cafe has already signed Oliver Mutukudzi for two more gigs later in September and October.
