Desperate measures call for desperate action.

Press reports in particular in The Herald have indicated that Robert Mugabe in pursuant to the deal that he signed with Arthur Mutambara is going to form a government to the extent that the SADC dialogue that we chose is going to be ignored.

This report will fundamentally undermine and kill the dialougue.

However, from yesterday to now the Zanu PF government ministers and functionaries including CIO agents have approached an extensive number of our members of parliament asking them to submit their CVs and asking them to be part of a Mugabe’s mendacious and dishonest government.

These are the actions of a desperate and cornered regime, which we find corrosive.

We urge Zanu PF to desist from executing this sly, nicodimus and foolish process but to navigate Zimbabwe out of the current crisis.

What is required is the conclusion of dialogue and what is concluded should be respected by all in a bona fide manner.

Unless and until we all understand that, the 27 March 2008 elections fundamentally changed the political landscape in Zimbabwe and that the major paradigm shift has to continue then we will continue using sterile tricks that are a reflection of the exhaustion of nationalism and the nationalist in Zanu PF.

An opportunity has been presented through dialogue for a fresh start and restart.

Lets us all finish this process honestly and decently
