On Wednesday 06 August this week The Zimbabwean reporter who had visited
Botswana’s Francistown city which is near the Zimbabwean border
witnessed two Zimbabwean women wearing Zanu PF t-shirts who had
visited that country for shopping beaten up by a group of Tswanas
at the Francistown main bus terminus accusing them torturing and
killing MDC supporters back in Zimbabwe at the same time visiting
Botswana to buy basic commodities which are not available in
Zimbabwe.
One Tswana man among the group which was beating these Zanu PF
supporters was heard shouting “go back to Zimbabwe and buy your
groceries from Mugabe’s empty shops.”
The Botswana government has come out in open before that
they don’t recognize President Robert Mugabe’s illegal
government after he held a international condemned and disputed
presidential run off elections on June 27.
Many Zimbabweans whether rich or poor are flocking to
neighbouring countries especially South Africa, Botswana and
Mozambique in search of jobs and to buy basic commodities which
are not available in the country due to the economic meltdown
which was caused by the Zanu PF government’s dictatorial rule.
The Zimbabwean reporter also meet several Zanu PF politicians at
Plumtree Border Post including Molly Mpofu a former Zanu PF
Senator for Lobengula who lost her seat to MDC .Mpofu who had
loads of groceries she had bought from Botswana and she was
in the company of Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) Operation
Director Utoile Silaigwana who was coming from Botswana to look for
food
