South African President Thabo Mbeki, who spent months mediating Â
between President Robert Mugabe and his ZANU PF party, opposition MDC Â
party leader Morgan Tsvangirai and a breakaway MDC faction led by Â
Arthur Mutambara told reporters in Harare that the formal singing of Â
the deal will be on Monday in front of African leaders.
Mbeki said: We have concluded the negotiations, an agreement has Â
been reached. The formal signing will be done on Monday 10am. The Â
document will be released then.
The ceremony will be attended by regional and continental leaders. Â
The leaders will spend the next few days constituting the inclusive Â
government to be announced on Monday.
The leaders will work very hard to mobilise support for the people Â
to recover. We hope the world will assist so that this political Â
agreement succeeds. – ZimOnline
