Businesses defy NIPC raids

INYATHI - Officials from the National Incomes and Pricing Commission (NIPC) raided and arrested virtually all traders at Inyathi Business Centre and surrounding areas for trading in foreign currency without the requisite licence.

The business people were taken to Inyathi Police Station, interviewed and then released.

Shop owners reopened the following day and continued selling goods in foreign currency.
