"At CAPS United proper channels are not being followed, running battles
with players have become the order of the day and to some extent I
suspect underhand dealings as some important issues were discussed in
my absence discrediting my ability to take the team to great heights,
said Mathuthu. "When I joined them in June, the discipline of players
was atrocious but I worked hard to restore order. It was not a
conducive environment that I worked under but at the end of day I
achieved a lot," he added.
He led MaKepeKepe to an ABC Sup8r and CBZ FA Cup double before
assisting the club to escape the jaws of relegation in the last match
of the 2008 CBZ premiership season, against Highlanders.
Caps United will face Uganda's Victors F.C away from home, in the
preliminary round of the showpiece, which begins on the weekend of
January 31- February 1, with the return leg two weeks later.
