It is understood that Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangiari offered himself
as surety to ensure Bennett’s release. The state is understood to be
preparing to appeal against this judgement. Bennett has been in prison
for almost two weeks on a range of trumped-up charges.

Harare - Roy Bennett, MDC treasurer and Zimbabwe's deputy minister for agriculture designate, has been granted bail by the High Court in Harare this morning.
