HARARE - Barbourfields stadium will be the scene of a potentially explosive clash this afternoon between giants Highlanders and new arrivals Bantu Rovers - a side that appears determined to challenge Bosso

Bosso had a morale booster last weekend when they beat Gunners 1-0 to
collect all points in their opening season match. But former
Highlanders player and now head coach at Bantu Rovers, Gift Lunga has
refused to take his charges' 0-2 defeat to Njube Sundowns as a
reflection of his side's abilities.

The lost last week, is one of those things. We have new players, some
of them who have not played in the premier league before and I think
they played well as their first game. It is now water under the bridge,
we are now focused at the match against Highlander, he said.

Lunga reckoned the Highlanders' win as a good start that would
probably boost confidence in the Bosso camp ahead of today's clash but
told The Zimbabwean on Sunday Bantu Rovers was ready to give a good
account of themselves in today's match.

We are building up the players' confidence. They are young and a game
against a big team like Highlanders is always a challenge especially
playing at Barbourfields, in front of a big crowd, said Lunga.

Admitting he has respect for Highlanders Lunga has made it clear that
his team is not in the league to make up numbers and thus should not be
taken for granted emphasizing the better team of the day will win.

Lunga said his insider's knowledge of Highlanders, their players and mentality this would not count in today's game.

They have a lot of talented new players just like us, and we both have
experienced players. We will everything will work out as we plan and
the better team of the day will win, commented Lunga.

Fixtures today: Dynamos v Black Rhinos (Rufaro); Bantu Rovers v Highlanders (Barbourfields); Hwange v Monomotapa (Colliery); Highway v Sundowns (Sakubva).
