Tsvangirai’s daughters

Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai's daughters who live in Australia will fly today to be with the rest of the family after the death of their mother in a car accident on Friday.


Her daughters who are said to be in a state of shock and can not
believe that their mother whom they intend to visit and congratulate
being sworn in as Prime Minister with their father had died.

The Tsvangirais’ elder daughter, Vimbai, (25) has reportedly been working for Sydney City council.

Their second daughter Rumbidzai, aged about 23, an economics graduate
of Perth’s Murdoch University, appeared at a Perth rally last year in
support of her father before Zimbabwe’s elections.

Tsvangira who has six children in their 31-year marriage to Susan is
reported to be in a stable condition and could be released Sunday.

Their teenage twins Millicent and Vincent and a son Edwin, aged 30,
live in South Africa, while another son Garikai, aged about 28, lives
in Canada.

Tsvangirai's wife was killed in an accident on Friday evening.

The MDC party says it will carry out its own investigation into the
cause of Friday’s crash in which Morgan Tsvangirai’s wife Susan died.

But officials have said nothing to suggest they suspect foul play.

US embassy officials say the lorry which collided with Tsvangirai’s car
belonged to a partner organisation of the US government aid agency
USAID.
