JOHANNESBURG -- Veteran Zimbabwe striker Gilbert Mushangazhike, out of favour at Orlando Pirates is headed to Absa Premiership club Ajax Cape Town, a

The Cape Town club are said to be interested in the former South
African Golden Boot winner with the hope that his experience will rub
onto the young team.

According to a source at the Urban Warrriors, the club has agreed in
principle with the Pirates' striker to move down to Cape Town next
season.

If things go according to plan, he should sign with the club anytime
soon. It all depends on the financial negotiations. There has been
great interest from Pirates and Platinum Stars for Clifford Ngobeni and
Sifiso Vilakazi, respectively, so the team has already started scouting
for new replacements ahead of the next season, the source said.

Mushangazhike has been out of favour with Bucs' Dutch coach Ruud Krol
since beginning of the year while the duo of Teko Modise and Katlego
Mashego have stolen the show.

He joined Pirates in 2007 amid protest from then coach Owen da Gama who said he was not consulted.
