HARARE - Zimbabwe's three political parties in the inclusive government have resolved to co-chair a 25-member parliamentary select committee to drive the writing of new constitution for the country in the next 18 months as outlined under power-sharing agreement the parties signed last year.

The move to co-chair the committee was arrived at by parliament’s
Standing Rules and Orders Committee on Wednesday after ZANU PF and the
two Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) formations had on Monday
disagreed on who would head the committee.
