He maintained that Mushangazhike, who has been linked with a move to
Ajax Cape Town, was still an integral part of Coach Rudi Krol's plans
for next season.
There is nothing true about the reports. It is mere speculation by the
media and one wonders where they get that incorrect information, said
Modisane. Gilbert is still very much part of Rudi Krol's plans and his
presence is highly appreciated by everyone in the club. So, there is no
way we are parting with him.
Mushangazhike, who was signed in December 2007, has seen little action
this season as Pirates chase a seemingly elusive league title.
Krol has depended on young strikers, Katlego Mashego and Siphelele
Mthembu, to deliver the goods, which has left media speculating the
Zimbabwean striker was no longer part of plans at the Sea Robbers.
Mushangazhike, who was not part of the team that whipped Kaizer Chiefs
in the Soweto derby this weekend, was signed amid furore with then-
Pirates coach, Owen da Gama saying he was not consulted before the
transfer.
