This historic and important convention will focus on developing a robust, meaningful and well coordinated civic society engagement with the constitution making process. The convention is being convened by the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition and the National Association of NGOs (NANGO), from the 3rd to the 4th of July 2009 at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
Meanwhile Civil society will conduct a press conference on Wednesday the 1st of July 2009 at the ZimRights offices (90 Alvestone House, Conner Baines and 4th street) at 1200noon. This press conference will highlight the findings of civil society on the Parliamentary select committee led Provincial Consultative meetings on the constitution making process. A total of 2000 delegates drawn from over 234 civil society organizations from across Zimbabwe will converge at the Rainbow Towers in Harare to participate at the National Peoples Convention on Constitutional reform.
