“This issue is already with SADC and it is should move as a matter of urgency to resolve this issue. We are simply appealing to the conscience of the two gentleman that in the national interest they must consider their fate and employment in government service,” said MDC Secretary General Tendai Biti.
The MDC had earlier passed a resolution reiterating its call for the two Zanu (PF) appointees to go. The MDC accuses Gono of presiding over the collapse of the country’s economy while Tomana is said to be responsible for the prosecution of its members and human rights activists.
