Koenders met Tsvangirai today in the Netherlands at the start of the Zimbabwean Prime Ministers first visit to Europe since he was sworn-in. Tsvangirai told his host that he was not touring Western capitals with a begging bowl but was hoping to re-engage with the rest of the world after years of isolation for his impoverished nation.
The Zimbabwean leader said his delegation would launch a new round of talks with the European Union at the end of his trip to discuss future aid. Tsvangirais next stop is the United States of America where he is due to meet President Barack Obama on Friday.
