In a recent statement, the organisations spokesperson, Misha Misha, said the directive by the Minister of water resources development, Samuel Sipepa Nkomo, was long overdue. He said the action by the government would force the Harare city council to improve service delivery.
Its a fact that the Mabvuku and Tafara residents have gone for more than three years without receiving water and its a pity to note that the authorities are still billing them for a service they are not providing. If the council insists on billing them, it must connect their taps which have not produced a drop of water for years, said Misha. – Joel Mhizha
