TITLE aspirants Gunners made a dramatic come back from behind to clobber army side Black Rhinos in an exhilarating Premier Soccer League match at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday.

Goals from Willard Katsande, Ali Sadiki and Norman Maroto who scored a brace were enough for Gunners to collect maximum points. The win took their points tally to 41 and kept alive their title hopes. Black Rhinos scored their only goal of the match through veteran forward Kastigu Juwakinyu.

The army side were the first to settle, launching a series of attacks on Gunners goal and it did not really surprise when they found the back of the net just after six minutes following a brilliant header by Jowakinyu.

The Gishon Ntini coached side appeared set to collect maximum points against Moses Chungas Gunners but hard running Willard Katsande leveled matters on 12 minutes. Thereafter, Gunners took over control of the match stinging some good passes which resulted in Maroto making it two for Gunners in the 22nd minute of the match.

The vastly improved Maroto found himself at the end of an inviting cross from Sadiki and headed it past a bemused Britto Gwere in goals for Black Rhinos. Gwere who had a nightmare in between the sticks was duly substituted and replaced by Johanness Nyamupahana in the 38th minute.

But this did not help matters as Gunners continued to threaten the Rhinos goal. They bombarded their opponents goal with an assortment of shots and on 74 minutes Sadiki found the back of the net following a good pass from More Moyo.

Gunners were not finished yet as they came back to haunt the army side with Maroto scoring his second goal of the match on 81 minutes with a superb header following a pass from man of the match Sadiki.

In a post match interview Chunga said winning the league title was a process and his charges would continue to fight hard in order to win the league title for the first time.

This is a process. We are not going to be complacent simply because of this win. We will continue to work hard in order to win the league. What counts is what happens at the end of the campaign,

His counter part Ntini blamed his goalkeepers for the defeat. They let in soft balls. Its the goalkeepers fault. Gunners took their chances and punished us. We will , however, continue to fight. The positive results will come one day, said Ntini.
