Addressing the NANGO eastern region annual assembly in Mutare last week, Zimunwe said the civic association did not habour political ambitions but sought to work with government for the development of Zimbabwe.
He said: We are not a political party neither do we represent or favour any political party. It is only that we live in a society that is being affected by politics. We want to participate in economic development by supporting various investments.
We do not want a nation that is being affected by hunger and election violence. We want to build a society that has meaningful development.
Addressing the same gathering the NANGO eastern region chairman Humphrey Chigumira said: As a body representing the NGOs we will engage the government and all other strategic offices so that we can discuss developmental issues within our various communities.
Chigumira said there was need for the government and the various NGOs to build relationships in order to develop various communities.
