The Constitution-making process underway is prescribed under Article 6 of the Global Political Agreement.
A major challenge faced by those making the Constitution is the designing of a system of governance that maximizes protection of individual members of society while minimizing opportunities for governments to harm them.
Does the current process under Article 6 of the GPA provide for the making of a proper Constitution that reflects the true hopes and aspirations of Zimbabweans? What is the role of the Kariba Draft in the Constitution making process, how are the people being consulted for the process and the outcome thereof to be legitimate and acceptable?
For these and all other questions, the public is thus invited to this New Zimbabwe Lecture Series on the Constitution making process.
