CHINHOYI - The Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) has expressed its willingness to work with the militant labour body Zimbabwe Federation of Trade Union (ZFTU) if it transforms itself into a professional body. (ZCTU General Secretary, Wellington Chibhebhe)ZCTU General Secretary, Wellington Chibhebhe, told reporters at Chinhoyi Press Club last week that the controversial ZFTU should transform itself into a more professional body if it wants to be recognised locally and internationally.
Chibhebhe, however, said their organisation was still to determine which group to work with within the organisation as there were four factions claiming to be authentic. The ZFTU has been criticized by many employers due to its militant approach to labour issues and its alignment to Zanu (PF).
