Eagles eye comeback

Mashonaland Eagles will clash with hosts, Midwest Rhinos, for the 2009 Faithwear Series second round of matches, set for Kwekwe Sports Club, this weekend.

After losing with four wickets to Manicalands Mountaineers, in the opening match of the competition, last Saturday, Harare-based side hopes to make a comeback by beating Rhinos in the limited overs series, on Saturday.

Coached by Walter Chawaguta and Malcom Jarvis the visiting side will be banking on the experience of national team players such as reliable all-rounder, Elton Chigumbura. In Harare, Mountaineers will be hoping to extend their winning streak into week two of the domestic one day international showpiece, when they face Rocks.

The Manicaland side who are coached by the national A side head coach, Stephen Mangongo, will boast of a strong batting line up to prove a force to reckon with in the shorter version of the game.
