Jonas, known as TinAsh in music circles, has released a ten-track album titled Vula Vala. The album consists of house and Kwaito tracks. I am aware of the stiff competition in this industry. I am confident the album will be a hit with music lovers. It is controversial here and there. I thrive on that, the 28-year-old told The Zimbabwean on Sunday in Johannesburg last week.

The title track, Vula Vala and EBraaamfontein are two tunes that are set to catapult him to the top. The album was produced and marketed by Not Guilty Records, a Johannesburg-based music house famed for unearthing new talent.

The multitalented 28-year-old is in exile in South Africa after fleeing the Robert Mugabe regime after his play, Bob: The Devilish, ruffled its feathers.

He fled in 2006. Through the play, I wished to show how dictatorship can run a country down, he said.
