MDC, be exemplary – Marava

mdcMARONDERA - Elected MDC officials must be exemplary public figures, MDC Senator and party organizing secretary for Masvingo, Misheck Marava, has said.
Marava was lecturing at a capacity building workshop on Sunday.

As party leadership you are the face of the party and your conduct in both public and private places will reflect the image of the MDC. Be reminded that whatever you do, society will be watching. The party will be judged through your behaviour, he said.

Speaking at the same occasion, the vice organizing secretary for Harare district and ward councilor in Glen View, Peter Marange, urged participating councillors to work with party structures in order to advance expectations and interests of the electorate.

You must regularly meet people at grassroots level to keep the party emblem shinning. Expectations of the people must be fulfilled, Marange said.

The workshop was organized by the MDC to educate party leadership from ward to district level, on expected roles as elected office bearers. They were also briefed about the history, structure and objectives of the party.

Participants were drawn from four districts, Marondera Central, East, West and Mrewa West. The MDC is conducting similar workshops across the country to maintain reputable standards within the party.
